Thomas Troupe (born July 15, 1928) is an American actor and writer.

Biography

Troupe was born in 1928 and grew up in North Kansas City, Missouri,[1][2] and studied with Uta Hagen at the Herbert Berghof Studio in Manhattan during the early 1950s. He made his Broadway debut in 1957 as Peter in the original Broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frank, which starred Joseph Schildkraut and Gusti Huber.

Primarily a stage performer, Troupe appeared in many plays over the years, including The Lion in Winter, The Gin Game and Father's Day. He and his wife, Carole Cook, were jointly honored with the 2002 L.A. Ovation Award for Career Achievements.[3] He appeared in such feature films as The Devil's Brigade (1

Biography

Tom Troupe's acting talents were showcased on the big screen many times throughout the course of his Hollywood career. Troupe began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "The Devil's Brigade" (1968) with William Holden, the dramatic biopic "Che!" (1969) with Omar Sharif and the comedy "Kelly's Heroes" (1970) with Clint Eastwood. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Star Trek" (NBC, 1966-69). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Cheers" (NBC, 1982-1993). He also starred in the TV movies "The Alpha Caper" (ABC, 1973-74) and "Off the Minnesota Strip" (ABC, 1979-1980). During these years, he additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the Kristoffer Tabori dramedy "Making It" (1971).
