Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (خديجة بنت خويلد ), the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad, was born in Mecca into a merchant family of the Quraysh tribe. After the death of her father in battle, she took back the family business and developed it very quickly, to such an extent that her caravans became famous. They could be found all over the Arabian Peninsula, from Yemen to northern Syria. Even though she was surrounded and advised by her brothers and uncles, it was always her who had the final word and led the family business.
During the time of the Jahiliyyah (before Islam), Khadijah was already a remarkable woman, who stood out due to her strength of character, her power and autonomy. Her decision to choose her husband in an era dominated by men and polygamy, in which women had no rights or social status, illustrates this perfectly.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: Jibril (Gabriel) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Allah's Messenger! This is Khadijah, coming to you with a dish having meat soup (or some food or drink). When she reaches you, greet her on behalf of her Lord (Allah) and on my behalf, and give her the glad tidings of having a palace made of Qasab in Paradise, wherein there will be neither any noise nor any toil, (fatigue, trouble, etc.)." [Al-Bukhari]
'Abdullah bin 'Abbas narrated that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew four lines on the earth and asked his Companions if they understood what these lines stood for. She was the first person to have an abiding faith in the utterances of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon hi

Khadija bint Khuwaylid
First wife of Muhammad (554–619)
Khadija bint Khuwaylid[a] (c. 554 – November 619) was the first wife of Muhammad. Born into an aristocratic clan of the Quraysh, she was an affluent merchant in her own right and was known to have a noble personality within her tribe. In his early 20s, she employed Muhammad to manage a trade caravan to Syria and, impressed by his skills, subsequently offered him marriage, which he accepted.
The couple had two sons, Qasim and Abd Allah, and four daughters, Zaynab, Ruqayya, Umm Kulthum and Fatima. In the aftermath of Muhammad's first revelation, Khadija is credited to have been the first convert to Islam. She continued to support her husband throughout her life and died in November 619 (RamadanBH 3); the year was reportedly termed the "Year of Sorrow" by Muhammad. Her remains are located at the al-Mu'alla in Mecca and attract many Muslims for ziyarat.
Honored by Muslims as one of the "Mother of the Believers", Khadija is considered as one of the four "ladies of heaven" alongside Fatim
