Charting Gen AI

Graham Lovelace
Strategist & WriterCharting Gen AI

Generative AI has been hailed as the most disruptive innovation since the birth of the web. There are opportunities galore for content creators and brand marketers, but there are threats, too – not least in copyright. In his engaging keynote, Graham will explain how we can work with generative AI – exploiting all it has to offer – rather than be replaced by it.

Graham is a leading strategist and writer on the impacts of generative AI on human-made media. In a career spanning 40 years, Graham has been a journalist, editor, consultant, producer and entrepreneur with a keen interest in the future of media. He was a member of the team that launched Teletext Limited in the UK, becoming editor-in-chief of the world's biggest and most commercially successful information service of its kind. He was a founding director of Associated New Media, which went on to launch Mail Online and founder of media intelligence provider Lovelacemedia, sold to the Pres

Ann Pettitt started what was probably the longest-running grassroots public protest in the UK, if not the world.

Reading a newspaper one day at home in Llanpumsaint she was horrified to see that the US had been given permission to store nuclear-powered cruise missiles at the Greenham Common airbase in Berkshire.

Scared for the future of her sons and the world and angered by the “stupidity” of the Cold War arms race, Ann, with three like-minded women decided to walk to the base from Cardiff and protest.

It was a journey that eventually mushroomed into a massive popular protest involving tens of thousands of women from across the globe and lasted nearly two decades.

“Welsh women brought to Greenham a lot of directness, vibrancy and oomph,” she said afterwards.

At one point she made a 10-day trip to the USSR to meet with underground peace groups.

“Greenham women were heroes. We were on newsreels from Minsk to Vladivostok, as cinema was the pastime of most Russian people,” she said.
