Badfinger were a Welsh rock band formed in Swansea in 1961. Their best-known lineup consisted of Pete Ham (guitar), Mike Gibbins (drums), Tom Evans (bass), and Joey Molland (guitar). They are recognised for their influence on the 1970s power pop genre. It is estimated that the band sold 14 million records.[1][2]
Initially known as the Iveys, the band renamed themselves Badfinger, after the working title for the Beatles' 1967 song "With a Little Help from My Friends" ("Bad Finger Boogie"). From 1968 to 1973, Badfinger recorded five albums for Apple Records and toured extensively, before they became embroiled in the chaos of Apple's dissolution.
Badfinger had four consecutive worldwide hits from 1970 to 1972: "Come and Get It" (written and produced by Paul McCartney, 1970), "No Matter What" (produced by Mal Evans, 1970), "Day After Day" (produced by George Harrison, 1971), and "Baby Blue" (produced by Todd Rundgren, 1972). Joe & Danielle Joe Tansin is a soulful singer-songwriter who combines rootsy Americana with touches of classic American blues. Joe is best known as a former member of the iconic group "Badfinger", who was signed by "The Beatles" to Apple Records. Recently Badfinger's "Baby Blue "closed the final episode of the hit show "Breaking Bad then became the most downloaded song in Apple iTunes history. Over the years Joe has worked with some of the most respected musicians in the music industry such as the legendary Nicky Hopkins former piano player for The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, and Rod Stewart. Joe has also worked with noteworthy singer /songwriter Dean Ford (The Marmalade & The Alan Parsons project) who wrote "Reflections of my life" which became a world wide hit and reached #1 in the Billboard charts in America and the UK.

Joe Tansin started in Chicago, IL, where he made his mark in the mid-70s playing blues guitar, impressing the likes of Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters and Paul Rodgers. He relocated to Los Angeles in the mid-70s where he helped reform the group Badfinger; the band’s first qualified replacement for the late, great Pete Ham.
Joe developed a close friendship and working relationships with the legendary piano player for the Rolling Stones, Nicky Hopkins, and eventually was introduced to former Marmalade lead singer, Dean Ford, through a mutual friend.
