Domingo German is a starting pitcher for the New York Yankees. German was originally signed as an international free agent by the Florida Marlins in 2009. He was named to the All-Star Futures Game in 2014 and traded that offseason to the Yankees. German made his major league debut for New York in 2017. Two years, later he was named to the Opening Day roster and led all pitchers with five wins during the month of April. German reached the pinnacle of his career in June 2023 when he threw the 24th perfect game in major league history and the first since 2012.

Domingo Germán Polanco (Spanish pronunciation:[xeɾˈman]; born August 4, 1992) is a Dominican professional baseballpitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Germán was signed by the Florida Marlins as an international free agent in 2009 and made his MLB debut in 2017 with the Yankees. On June 28, 2023, he pitched the 24th perfect game in MLB history and the first by a player from the Dominican Republic. Just over a month later, Germán was placed on the restricted list by the Yankees after a violent clubhouse confrontation while allegedly drunk.[1] He was waived by the Yankees at season's end and signed with the Pirates in 2024.
