Russell James
Over the past two decades, Australian born photographer, Russell James, has become well known for his photographs of some of the most beautiful and iconic women of our time, shooting emotional portraits of the world’s leading celebrities and supermodels, including Scarlett Johansson, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Adriana Lima, Gisele Bündchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, to name a few. Russell’s diverse photographic achievements range from fashion spreads and celebrity appearing in and on the covers of Vogue, Marie Claire, GQ, Sports Illustrated, and American Photo and French Photo, to breakthrough advertising campaigns for global brands such as Victoria’s Secret, Rolex, and Donna Karan International, to exhibiting for brands such as Hermès.

Russell, James (1972 - ) is a children’s author. For over twelve years he worked as a journalist, columnist and editor, including for the New Zealand Herald Element. He is now a full-time Auckland-based writer, and father of two sons. Russell is also a book reviewer on the Jesse Mulligan Afternoons on National Radio.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Russell studied at the University of Otago before moving to Auckland to work as a journalist. Commuting on the train during a particularly damp month, Russell decided to write down some of the stories he had been telling his two young boys. Inspired by the enthusiastic reaction of his sons, Russell developed his stories into the Dragon Brothers Trilogy, a series for 3–7 year olds.
Teaming up with Auckland-based illustrator and artist Link Choi, Russell self-published his first children’s picture book The Dragon Hunters in 2012. In an innovative launch, Russell created 30 large paper mâché dragon eggs which he placed around the Auckland hillsides for children to find through clues posted on Russell’s website. The ch

Russell James (born 1962 in Perth) is a fashion, celebrity and beauty photographer.
Early life
Russell was born in Western Australia and spent much of his childhood moving from city to city due to his working class father. After dropping out of school at age 14, Russell got his first job working in a factory that made trashcans. After working in the factory, Russell held several odd jobs to make ends met before becoming a police officer, which lasted several years. After traveling to Japan and Sweden Russell arrived in the United States in 1989.[1][2]
Career
Russell James is most famous for his work as the main photographer for Victoria's Secret,[3] but his work has appeared in a large range of magazines, including Vogue, Sports Illustrated, W, Marie Claire, and GQ.[3][4] James has worked with many celebrities and fashion models, such as Alessandra Ambrósio, Tyra Banks, Kendall Jenner, Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Karolína Kurková, Adriana Lima, Michelle
