Stonewall W. "Stoney" Jackson (born Alwyn Jackson on February 27, 1960) is an American actor. Jackson was born in Richmond, Virginia.

Career

He was featured in numerous teen magazines in the 1970s and 1980s, including Right On, Teen Beat, and Tiger Beat. Jackson played a baseball player in the 1994 Disney film Angels in the Outfield. He portrayed high school basketball player Jesse Mitchell on the ensemble series The White Shadow, and Travis Fillmore on the sitcom 227. He played Black Jack Savage in the pilot episode of The 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage. He also has made guest appearances on shows like Hardcastle and McCormick and Everybody Hates Chris. He was also cast as “Kenyatta” an illiterate lowlife in 1999 comedy film Trippin’.

Biography

Stoney Jackson got his start in the world of acting at the ripe age of 12. Early on in his acting career, Jackson landed roles in various films, including the romance "Roller Boogie" (1979) with Linda Blair, the sequel "The Concorde - Airport '79" (1979) with Alain Delon and the action picture "Streets of Fire" (1984) with Michael Paré. He also appeared in the Leon Isaac Kennedy action film "Knights of the City" (1985), "Jocks" (1986) and the comedy "Mortuary Academy" (1988) with Paul Bartel. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Sweet Perfection" (1988), the Lenny Von Dohlen thriller "Blind Vision" (1990) and the Dyan Cannon drama "The End of Innocence" (1990). In his more recent career, he tackled roles in the action movie "Wild Bill" (1995) with Jeff Bridges, the Pierce Brosnan comedy "The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson" (1996) and "The Fan" (1996) with Robert De Niro. He also appeared in the action flick "Lone Tiger" (1999) with Bruce Locke
