Ernestine Carballo Recently Got Awarded: Winner of the National Soca Song Competition 2011, Carnival Road March Song of 2010/ 2011, Artist of the Year 2011/2012, No.1 Break out Tune 2010 and 2011, Best Soca Artist 2011/2012,Best Soca Song of 2011-2012 and Honoree of 2011/ 2012.. she recently came home from a 3 months European Tour with the “Belize National Dance Company”. Ernestine was born in Belize City, Belize on November 19th, 1983, to the beautiful Parents, Ernesto and Therese Lightburn Carballo. On one of the biggest celebrations in Belize "Garifuna settlement day."
And at age four (4) her mom took her to drumming ceremonies, so it was from then that the little princess learned to dance and sing on her toes........

Karaoke Television, usually called KTV for short, was a live-actionmusic competition airing on Great Belize Television (Channel 5). It premiered in February 2001 and completed six seasons as of October 30, 2007.[1]
Origins and format
KTV, according to host William Neal, originated from a karaoke competition hosted by Channel 5 the previous year during its annual "Gimme 5" Christmas special.
