Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR, Filipino: Korporasyon sa Libangan at Palaro ng Pilipinas)[4] is a government-owned and controlled corporation established in 1977 through the Presidential Decree No. 1869.[5][6] PAGCOR is the Philippines' largest contributor of revenue to the government after the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Bureau of Customs.

PAGCOR is under the Office of the President of the Philippines.[7]

History

The Corporation was created during the Martial Law years by virtue of a Presidential Decree No. 1067-A issued by President Ferdinand Marcos on January 1, 1977, in response to calls for the Philippine Government to put a stop to the growing proliferation of illegal casino operations in various parts of the country then.[8]

Anthony F. Genuino was born on November 27, 1982, and is best known by his constituents as “Ton.”

His father is Dr. Efraim Genuino, former Congressman of District II, Laguna and former Chairman of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), and his mother Aurora Genuino, a former educator.

They became a great influence on his business skills and passion for education and he further entered politics to serve the people for a better cause.

He is also a proud father of 4 beautiful children, Ella, Enrique, Emillia, and Ellyse, and a loving husband to his wife Racquel Joan Genuino.

He graduated in 2005 from De la Salle College of St. Benilde with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Information System Management.

He became the youngest Mayor during his first term in 2010 – 2013 nationwide at the age of 27.

One of his accomplishments during his administration was the construction of the New and Modern Municipal Building of Los Baños.
