Ronald Franklin (December 20, 1959 – March 8, 2018) was an American jockey. At the age of only nineteen, he rode the champion racehorseSpectacular Bid to win the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes.[1][2]

Ron Franklin is a lawyer and oversees the work of Franklin Law, a social justice-oriented, employment law, human rights law, and labour law firm focused on working with, advising, representing, and training employees and other workers. He has been a worker all of his life, and this simple truth has shaped his experiences, his world view, the work that he does, the clients that he represents, and his decision to follow his heart and open up a law firm committed to fighting injustice at work.
While the vast majority of Ron’s practice has, and always will be, focused on holding employers accountable, he believes that an accountable Union movement is a stronger, more effective, and more viable Union movement, and has increasingly focused on advising and representing unionized employees in precarious situations, and helping them to resolve difficult disputes with their Unions.

Dr. Franklin obtained an MA in Clinical Psychology from East Carolina University and a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University's school psychology program. His doctoral research studied validity in computer reporting of psychological test data. After graduation, Dr. Franklin accepted a post-doctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. During his fellowship he obtained training in neuropsychology that included rounding in neuroradiology, neurology, neuropathology. He has completed numerous post-doctoral institutes in pediatrics, neurology, and rehabilitation.
Dr. Franklin's work experience spans more than a quarter century. As senior psychologist of South Florida State Hospital, he supervised and managed behavioral psychology programs. He entered full-time private practice three years later, providing consultation and evaluation services to St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm
